Thank you for your report - pkill -9 nash should be run from your rc.local startup script to prevent this issue.

Our template developers have been advised to take a look at the openSUSE template.

Our template developers report that the OpenSUSE 11.0 template should include the killall -9 nash-hotplugs command - please let us know if you encounter this issue with a fresh installation.

Note: Additions or modifications to your rc.local file should allow the killall command to execute first to ensure this issue does not affect performance on your VPS.

Default This problem exists with Ubuntu image

FYI -

I was having this problem too, although it wasn't a full 100% it was chewing up ~50%.

/etc/rc.local already had
Code:
pkill -9 -f nash
issuing 'pkill -9 nash' from a command prompt killed the process.

Ubuntu 8.04.

Rebooted the os and the process is still there after boot. It kills fine, but doesn't seem to do it automatically.

For debian/ubuntu:
Code:
update-rc.d -f nash remove
And the service should no longer start at boot.

I was unable to find any support requests under your forum contact e-mail related to this issue.

Please send me a private message with a recent ticket number or the hostname of the VPS which this behavior was encountered on - we'd be happy to take a look.
