Default Migration

Hey guys,

As you know, it's the big day. I'm going to be in the office throughout the move. I am on the phone almost constantly with the admins and will try to keep this thread updated as much as possible until we're all back up.

At this point we are starting to bring all of the servers down and off the network. We also have an admin speeding to the new DC as we speak with vpsl4-009. As much as we want all the machines back up as quickly as possible, we figure that after the last weekend, those customers deserve to be up extra quick.

I would like to keep everything down to one thread, so if you have questions or feedback please use this one. I hope everyone has a great night and you enjoy the new home!

Greg

We are now booting vpsl4-009 and some sites are already available. The server should be fully up in a few minutes. At the same time, the rest of the network should now be offline.

All of the servers are now packed up, loaded and on the road to the new DC. I am hoping to be able to list the first couple servers coming up in an hour.

Careful there, the blogsphere may cry.

I just talked to the admins. All the servers are racked now and having their network cables installed. We should start seeing some VEs come up in ~20 minutes.

Quick update:

Most servers are up and loading their VEs as we speak.

We are currently running fsck on vpsl4-001, -003(dosequis), -004(guinness) and -005(harp).
Our admin doesn't think they'll need a deep scan, but we should know within 30 minutes or so.
