    Default Upgrade kernel

    Hello,

I'd like to upgrade kernel on my Gentoo instance. Because there is a possibility that my VPS won't be loaded after reboot.

I've masked new versions of udev, but even 141 requires more than 2.6.18.

Is it possible to create additional instance of Gentoo for my account with new kernel without additional pay? Or general question do you have new Gentoo instance with new kernel?

    Thanks.

The kernel version is tied to the kernel running on the Host Node, so theres no way for you to upgrade it. They would have to update the kernel and reboot the entire node for a kernel update, which is unlikely to happen.

So the gist of it, is no.
