I don't know if VPSLink put up a new template as the drop down still had a 2008 listed, however my GCC is at 4.1 as I went to do an upgrade today and found out.

    generic etc # gcc --version
    gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 (Gentoo 4.1.2 p1.0.2)

Thanks Dan and all at VPSLink, very happy with the Gentoo on the Xen platform. Moving right along with the 256mb of RAM. Never had better hosting service.

It did break 256 MB at one point during the GCC compile, and used 54MB of swap, but only once.
