    Default slackware11: memory shenanigans

Hi all, much strangeness ensuing here

I've just got myself a VPS (upgraded to lvl2, 128MB so I could compile pkgsrc.) It is a run-of-the mill slackware 11, all I've done is install some base packages, compiled a few pkgsrc ports and rebooted.

I'm not even running any of the ports so I can't see how (after a reboot) the memory usages I'm seeing are actually valid :

I powered the host off+on just to ensure I'm not tripping out here (old habits I know )... Please have a look, its weird (or I'm just thick) :

This appears to be due to a memory leak originating your VPS, as the privvmpage usage did not go down while your VPS was offline. We will be migrating your account to a new server to fix this.
