Default opensuse 10.2 rcSuSEfirewall fails to start

i dont know how and what vpslink has hacked arround in the deployed kernel but the default kernel that comes with the opensuse 10.2 installation doesnt work with opensuse 10.2 firewall deamon. it is "broken" on the vps

some documentation would be greatly appriciated to fix this, even better if vpslink.com would fix this mess!!

vpslink.com should have clearly stated that they dont use a standard opensuse 10.2 but their own hacked version that causes headaches for those who are unprepared!

    Default

    to get halfway there,
    you need to configure /etc/sysconfig/susefirewall2
in such a manner as to disable ipv6 support and disable
kernel hardenning features since the kernel that is in use
has not been modified to support these extensions.

my last problem to resolve is the modules dependency.

Starting Firewall Initialization (phase 2 of 2) FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.18-ovz028stab039.1-smp/modules.dep: No such file or directoy
FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.18-ovz028stab039.1-smp/modules.dep: No such file or directory
commit failed on table filter: No chain/target/match by that name
    SuSEfirewall2: Error: iptables-batch failed, re-running using iptables
