That's a bummer since I wanted to buy late yesterday (the 31st) about 10pm Mountain time, but the coupon code had already been pulled down.

Can you switch my account if I submit a trouble ticket, or do I need to open a new account?

Here is a quick description of the "switch" process:

    1) Place an order for a new Xen VPS under your existing VPSLink account

    2) Move any important data or configuration files to your Xen VPS

    3) Submit a cancellation form for your OpenVZ VPS

    4) Submit a billing ticket to request that your OpenVZ VPS be canceled immediately

    5) Our billing department will complete the cancellation of your OpenVZ VPS and apply a service credit to your Xen VPS account's next invoice
